MACHINERY MATERIAL HANDLING
According to operator surveys, 15-30% of the operating cost of a forklift truck is the cost of the tire, and the properties of the tire affect the other components of the truck, making it even more important. The same applies to the tire as stated above, that the principle has been established 100 years ago, since each is round, has a hole in the center and is black. Even so, today’s quality tires know much more than their predecessors in terms of life, energy efficiency, and driving performance, but there are also major differences between manufacturers, which have a significant impact on costs, as noted above.
Forklifts are faster, work cycles are faster, brakes are more intense, loads are higher, and today ‘s forklift tires need to know more than before.
To increase energy efficiency, all parts of the machine must contribute, the tire also, which can be achieved by improving rolling resistance. Rolling resistance has a significant impact on the battery and fuel consumption, and thus the machine’s operation. The goal is to reduce downtime and improve productivity. Choosing the right tire will not only cost you a lot, but also what application and intensity it will be used for. With these considerations in mind, it’s a good idea to choose a tire for a particular application.
